About
My name is Kjersti Ehrie and this is my portfolio of website design and development. Over the course of my career managing marketing programs, I’ve specialized in web strategy and content development. I studied media communications and graphic design as an undergraduate in the late 90’s and, after working professionally as a designer and then as an art director, I earned my MBA in 2004. This is where I began to seriously observe the flow of information, an undertaking which broadened my understanding and interests for developing successful internal business processes and marketing programs.

A Little Background
After completing my MBA program, I took a position as Senior Program Manager for Midpoint National in Kansas City. I spent a lot of time designing online ordering functions and listening to our clients and administrative staff to determine how we could best optimize these tools.
In 2005, I started working for Adknowledge, a design and technology firm that delivers email content targeted by consumer behavior. In my role there, I was exposed to the rules that dictate search as well as web standards and observed how people respond to a wide variety of email campaigns. In 2007, I started working for Gomez, a Boston firm that creates website and web application performance monitoring tools, services, and solutions. I played a role in building sites to meet accessibility guidelines and expanded on my knowledge for making websites search-engine friendly.
In 2008, I took a position heading up the website design and front-end development department for Conversion Associates, creators of a hosted platform that combines web analytics and phone call tracking.
Present
Currently, I’m helping out at WebOMatic as a UI designer. I’m also finishing up a handful of contract projects as I prepare to transition into a new role with a company in Cedar Rapids, IA (stay tuned). Please take a look around my site and keep up to date with my blog. Don’t hesitate to get in touch – I’d love to hear from you!
